Noodles noodles and more! One of our favorite spots for Korean noodle. The dishes can be served with noodles or sujabi (hand pulled Korean dough). They are available in wide variety of Spicy and non spicy soup or no soup versions: spicy chicken or beef, clam or seafood and many others. Aside from the noodles, the dumplings are also very good. Try the half shrimp and half vegetable dumplings deep fried and also deep fried with spicy sauce. All very good and the service is friendly and second to none!

Great noodles! We had the tofu seafood noodles and you only need to order 1 dish as the portions are HUGE! The soup is not as spicy as I thought. The noodles were not soggy and plenty of seafood! We started with the mixed vegetable and meat steamed dumplings. They were on point. Soft with a tasty filling. The waitress was very attentive and offered extra side dishes! Not bad for 3 dishes at about $50. This street alone has so many Korean offerings from bakery to food. I recommend highly!

I ate at Halmae Noodle recently but I am already thinking about the next time I can come here. Located on Broad Ave, Halmae is a no frills Korean restaurant that specializes in kalguksu. My boyfriend and I ordered the jeyuk and hanchi deopbap respectively. I absolutely loved the hanchi and the contrast of the hot squid with the cold veggies was really nice. Also, the squid definitely had a wok-hei taste (if you're Cantonese you know this amazing taste) that I was really surprised by since I never tasted that in the numerous Korean restaurants I've eaten at. Even though it was level 2 spicy, it wasn't super spicy at all. I believe each dish for ours was a little over $14. In this economy? Amazing. Will definitely come here again to try more of the menu!

I was craving noodles soup and this place hit the spot. The noodles are made fresh! Tried the spicy beef noodle soup because it was popular and it did not disappoint! Although it looks very red, It's not too spicy which I'm thankful for because I can't handle that much spice. The noodles were very soft yet chewy. The beef seemed like it was slow cooked very well. The vegetables are mostly just scallions. The portion is quite large- be prepared to take leftovers home unless you have a big appetite! The establishment is pretty small, but located on a major street in palisades park. The service is very good and fast!

TLDR: Local spot in Pal Park that specializes in knife-cut noodles (kalguksu) and thick dough flakes (sujebi). Yukaejang noodles, clam noodles, mandu. Friend in the area recommended this place and we checked it out one weekend. I like restaurants that specialize really in one thing and don't fall into the trap of having a menu with 80 items on it. The mandu was adequately filled, thin wrapper, steamed, local mom/pop shop flavor. Great. The tonkatsu that I got a few bites of was thinly coated, crispy, tender - solid. The yukaejang kalguksu. This is a big portion, it's got good heat, it's rich, it's flavorful. Definitely the main thing I'd recommend here and why this guy goes here all the time. The clam kalguksu (or sujebi) was equally tasty. That broth is nice and rich with clam juice, anchovy flavor - a perfect pairing with either the noodles or those thick doughy bites. My only regret is I don't live closer to here because I'd probably be a regular too.

I was not that hungry. Drove into the area to have dinner unsure of whether this was the right choice. Well it was. The bowl can be shared by two people and the shrimp mandu. So good. Maybe because I haven't really had a deep fried dumpling in a minute. Spicy dish was just right on point with the spice. The fact that it was steaming hot compounded the heat. The clams one was refreshing compared to the spicy noodle soup and absolutely loaded with clams. Heavy heavy hand there. No complaints from me. Service was speedy as expected and ambiance was exactly what you expect from a soup restaurant during a winter evening. 10/10 will go back.

Probably my favorite kalguksu in the area! I ordered the halmae kalguksu and I absolutely devoured that bowl. It came out super hot, so make sure to wait a bit to let it cool down. The broth tasted clean and the noodles were perfect. I loved the thinly sliced potatoes as well. It was so so delicious. The portion size was very generous too. I was stuffed by the end of this meal. In addition to the kalguksu, I got the fried dumplings with beef and chives. Again, came out super hot so be patient. It was the perfect appetizer to a wonderful meal. The interior is a bit small and there's limited seating. I went for lunch on the weekend and had to wait for about 5 minutes before being seated. They had some side dishes, but the salad stood out to me the most. I don't know what kind of dressing they used, but it was literally so delicious. They gave a refill of the salad without me even having to ask. I will definitely be back!!

I wasn't even hungry, but I finished all the food. And it was a lot of food. Mildly regretful, but I learned my lesson. We started off with the deep fried shrimp dumplings, which I was happy were on the menu, since I don't eat red meat. The noodle soups came shortly after, even the clam kalguksu, which they have a heads up that it would take a little longer. The spicy seafood kalguksu was spicy, and filled with mussels, shrimp, and squid. The clam kalguksu had so so many clams, and had a refreshing broth, albeit a bit salty. I left happy but very very full.

Happy New Year! Happy 2024!! My first review of the year. Run to this establishment ASAP! Are you looking for Korean comfort food to warm your heart, your belly, all of you? This place specializes in a variety of knifecut noodles with oh-so-good soups. It'll hit the spot on a snowy day like today or if you're battling a cold or just looking for homestyle dishes. Korean food is more than bibimbap and Korean BBQ. Give this a try! You're welcome! Limited indoor seating. Efficient service though. They take your order while you're waiting for tables to become available. This way by the time they seat you, you can be served right away. No parking lot. Parking is a bit of a pain. Wear comfy shoes in anticipation of walking a few blocks and stretchy pants to make room for your delicious meal!
